All new accounts shall provide documentation that you have a current smoke detector / carbon monoxide / fire extinguisher inspection certificate issued by the Middlesex County Fire Marshal's Office before any utility will be activated. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

STATEMENT ON SOUTH RIVER RESCUE SQUAD FUNDRAISER There have been questions concerning the recent South River Rescue Squad 2019 Fund Drive. Be advised that the South River Rescue Squad is a private company. The Borough of South River does not use its services. If you call 9-1-1, the Police will call Robert Wood Johnson to handle the emergency. If they can not answer, another outside emergency medical service will be called.
Any money donated to the South River Rescue Squad does not go to the Borough of South River. Your money goes to a private company that is involved with a lawsuit with the Borough. Be advised accordingly
