Electronics Disposal

Since the 2011 passage of the Electronics Waste Management Act, residents can no longer dispose of covered electronics devices with regular waste. Placing such items outside for curbside pickup is forbidden by Borough Code and is subject to summons.

What is defined as an "electronic device?" If it runs on batteries or has an electrical plug, such a device is considered an electronic device, and should be disposed of by dropping the device off at the Department of Public Works at 55 Ivan way at the specified time.

Electronics Drop-off: Saturdays, 9AM - 1 PM Public Works Yard, 9 Ivan Way,

  • Televisions
  • Radios
  • Speakers
  • CD Players
  • Computers
  • MP3 Players
  • Phones
  • Consumer Electronics
  • Cameras
  • Laptops
  • Microwaves
  • Blenders
  • Any device needing a battery
  • Any device possessing an Electrical Plug
