Safe Syringe Disposal

We work hard to ensure that all residents and employees are kept safe. Syringes and needles can pose a significant public safety risk and without proper disposal, can lead to dangerous accidents and long term bodily harm.

Never dispose of syringes in ways you would typically dispose of trash. Collect syringes in an FDA approved sharps container or into a heavy duty plastic container such as a laundry detergent or bleach bottle. Close the screw-on lid and label the sealed container “Do Not Recycle - Contains Sharps.”

"You should then consult the New Jersey Safe Syringe Disposal Guide from the NJ Department of Public Health. Visit this guide or call (609) 826-4941.
