Shade Tree Advisory Board

About Us

The Shade Tree Advisory Board is established under South River Borough Ordinance. The goals of the Shade Tree Advisory Board include:

  • Reviewing all applications for the removal of shade trees on public property.
  • Making recommendations to the Borough Council regarding tree removal requests.
  • Developing and maintaining standards for tree planting, maintenance, and removal.
  • Overseeing the Borough's tree replacement program.
  • Conducting periodic inspections of public shade trees.
  • Advising property owners on proper tree care and maintenance.
  • Coordinating with utility companies regarding tree trimming and removal.
